5 Phrases That Will Ruin Your Presentation

As many of you can probably relate, I spend a good amount of time reading, writing, and editing presentations. When I came across this post, I thought it would be a great thing to share. While these tips are primarily directed at new start-ups preparing for six minute pitch presentations at DEMO, the tips are invaluable. Whether you're presenting at a conference, for a new business pitch, or in front of a classroom, you can benefit, and make sure you don't utter the words, "Um...did that make sense?" in your next presentation.
To start you off, here are the five phrases you should avoid in any presentation:
* MAKE SOME NOISE!!!
* Um…
* Did That Make Sense?
* What Else Can I Show You?
* I Guess That's It

* Start with your key talking points.
* Write a script.
* Don't get hung up on specific words.
