Cutline Speaks

7 Questions with… Rachael H.

posted by The Cutline Team on September 16, 2009

The Cutline Crew is super excited to welcome back our former colleague and forever-a-friend, Rachael Horwitz! And we're even more excited to re-introduce her to you, our faithful followers!

1. What do you do at Cutline?
I help interesting companies tell the world their stories. I also work hard at making my coworkers laugh. I aim for at least two laughs a day -- usually at my own expense.

2. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Chilean Patagonia is my dream! I'm getting married this year and will spend my honeymoon in Hawaii but my goal is to celebrate my one-year anniversary from the Torres del Paine mountain range. Hopefully my then-husband will be able to come too :)

3. What’s the one gadget or service you wish someone would come up with?
I just moved to Seattle and walking my dog in the rain isn’t fun at all. I'm positive we'll see a waterproof robot dog walker in my lifetime.

4. If you could be any type of car, what would you be?
I would definitely be a MINI Cooper, red. With a racing stripe. Like the MINI Cooper, I'm very small but pack a punch in terms of engine power. You see, the engine is my brain . . . hmmm. I think I've complicated this metaphor. You get the picture.

5. What’s your “greatest” moment in PR?
You know, there have been many and most of them with Cutline. Greatest is hard for me to define but my favorite moments (and the reason I enjoy PR and working at Cutline so much) are those "all hands on deck" scenarios. It never fails to amaze me what this talented team can pull off under extraordinary circumstances, with the shortest of deadlines. Nothing like drinking some beer and playing some Rock Band after a job well done together.

6. Beer or wine?
This makes me sound like the world's largest dork but I'm sort of allergic to both (and cats, and dust, and strawberries, and I had child asthma. Honestly, could I be a bigger dweeb?). So I tend to choose Crown Royal. On the rocks baby.

7. Are you a pirate or a ninja?
I'm a born-again ninja. I say this because I once chose pirate but I've had a come-to-ninja moment in my life after examining what is really important to me.
