A Geek’s Proposal

posted by Meghan on February 8, 2008

euriringbox.jpgOne of the cool gadgets that came out of CES 2007 includes this tiny box of memories. The fun factor? It's a small ring box! Intended for proposals (although as a modern woman I think this could and should be used for all gifts -- moms, sisters, friends, etc), this tiny jewelry box comes with a 2-inch LCD screen with up to an hour of video content to provide that added touch of love and memories to your gift. It's called the Euricase multimedia ring box and is about $200 for the standard edition, with an extra $50 tacked on for gold or silver. Now, the contents inside are precious so I'm sure this box would be a worthy treasure chest for your special someone, but I'm not sold on the price. Wouldn't a woman be more focused on the ring inside? I'm sure at the time it would all be a blur, but this would be a great case to re-open time and again and relive that proposal or special occasion!

Some ideas could also include family photos for your mom, an anniversary ring with pictures from the wedding, a best friend's ring with photos of your good times...you get the hint. Of course, when it's time for this tech geek to get hitched, any package would do!
