Cutline Speaks
Carl versus Pleo Remixed
posted by The Cutline Team on June 4, 2008
I just spotted some really cool news from the world of online video. YouTube has created some free web-based tools that allow users to insert speech bubbles, commentary and other annotations into video clips (a la Pop-Up Video). Now, the folks who don't have fancy video software can do some quick editing and add a rich new dimension to their videos. The tools are super quick and easy to use and also allow vloggers to link to other content without having to point to adjacent text fields – I have a feeling we'll soon start to see them all over the blogosphere. What's even cooler is that these tools will continue to get better and create opportunities for people to make their work or art more compelling. Check these annotations out for yourself in Cutline's latest video showdown between our two unofficial mascots, Carl and Pleo.
