Cutline cRaves: March 28, 2008

posted by The Cutline Team on March 28, 2008

Another great weekend is shaping up for the Cutline team. Check out our plans after the jump!

* Play Ball! San Francisco Giants baseball officially starts on Monday afternoon with the home opener versus the locally reviled Los Angeles Dodgers, but this weekend, the Giants will play a three game exhibition series with our other rivals, the Oakland Athletics. While Saturday's game takes place at McAfee Coliseum, Friday and Sunday's games are at AT&T Park, which is just around the corner. - Christian

* This weekend, my wife and I are flying back to the town we grew up in -- Battle Creek, MI -- for her baby shower. Battle Creek is best known for being the home of Kellogg's (it's actually your patriotic duty to eat cereal there). But now that I've lived in California long enough to get soft, the winters are the thing that always stick in my mind. Check out the average lows for November through March - 31, 21, 17, 17, 25. Yeesh. - Michael

* Kickball is not just a third grader's sport...well maybe it is, but it's much more complicated with WAKA! I'm going to be joining Zipcar this weekend after talking about it and researching it for the past year or so. It's time to just get a shared car so I can drive around the city! Then I might just use the car to zip down to the field and meet my team for some kickball practice and disc golf in the park. Gotta get some time outside before I head to Vegas for CTIA! - Meghan

* This weekend, I will be searching the racks of American Rag's vintage section to find a 1920s-era outfit for a fun theme party. - Morgan

* I'm volunteering at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts on Saturday for artist MK Guth. She has created an interactive braiding project that will last two days. Volunteers will be braiding synthetic hair and ribbons to her hair, which will be cut off at the end of the day and remain as the installation at the museum. - Jennifer

Have fun this weekend; we know we will.
