Cutline Speaks

Cutline cRaves: May 16, 2008

posted by The Cutline Team on May 16, 2008

It's Friday in San Francisco; you know what that means...time for another edition of Cutline cRaves! Check out what we're craving this weekend after the jump!

* The weather is fine and it's a big weekend in SF. I'm sure I'm not the only one in the office headed to Bay to Breakers but this my first one and I'm excited for what everybody calls "the best party in San Francisco." This weekend also brings the San Francisco Oyster Fest at Fort Mason. Oh how I love oysters! - Dan

* I will spend much of this weekend with some of my musical heroes, Phil Lesh and Friends, as they play San Francisco's Warfield Theatre and complete a five-night run of shows to bid farewell to the historic venue. So far, I've gone to two, and have three more to go. - Christian

* Expecting a pretty low-key weekend. Looks like the weather will be pretty much perfect, so we'll probably take the quadruped to Ocean Beach for a few hours, and I may try to squeeze in a run on my favorite trail in the city. Outside of that, we may try to make some headway into the huge pile of new DVDs sitting on my desk, still in the shrink wrap. - Michael

* Lately I've been "getting my culture on" in and around SF. Last Saturday I went to the Annie Leibowitz exhibit at the Legion of Honor. This weekend I'm attending a concert by the fabulous Etta James, and have tickets to the Smuin ballet production, "Dancin' with Gerswhin." If you've never seen a Smuin show, I highly recommend it! - Lauren

* Saturday night I plan to go watch the Wizard of Oz in Dolores Park to support the San Francisco Neighborhood Theater Foundation. The last movie I saw in the park was Best in Show, where they had a doggie fashion show to kick off the movie. My dog, Mr. Petey, loved it! - Mel

* I'll be taking it easy tonight after a long week, but plan to kick start the weekend festivities early tomorrow with shopping for my group's Bay to Breakers costumes and cart contents. Then we'll be heading over to the Oyster Fest where the Dropkick Murphys will be playing! I've never seen them live, but can't wait to hear the Sox anthem, "Shipping up to Boston." - Meghan

Have a great weekend!
