Digital Summer - A Night of Fashion and Technology

posted by Meghan on August 20, 2009

Last night, Ubergizmo and Girls in Tech joined forces to host the first Digital Summer event in SF. A long line of local techies and fashionistas formed eagerly awaiting the fun that these groups lined up - including an eyelash bar! The event was designed to bring people together around three passions - photography, technology and fashion. Friends enjoyed having their iPhone's sketched with creative designs, getting a professional photo taken of them and watching an eco-friendly fashion show. HP and Intel were also on hand providing demos and mobile devices for the crowd to test drive.

The event also came with a fun charitable angle. The organizers partnered with Mokugift, the official partner of the United Nations Environment campaign, to plant a tree with every glass of champagne consumed at the event.

Overall, it was a fun event that brought together a great crowd. The organizers aimed to gather "the most international, professional and glamorous crowd of San Francisco." I think they accomplished their goal. Check out the photos courtesy of photographer Gillat.
