Facebook Adds Movie Clips

Users on Facebook now have the ability to send movie clips with the help of a new application by VooZoo, which enables users to search thousands of movie titles from Paramount Pictures, and then to send short movie clips to friends. You can post to your profile, send to friends, and click to buy it on DVD. This new feature came shortly after Facebook announced its new fan page, Film on Facebook, which is supposed to help filmmakers build a presence on Facebook and connect with users.

Are these teasers for something bigger to come -- maybe a new entertainment product launch? Time will tell. In the meantime, I will be closely following the company's strong presence at this week's South by Southwest Festival, especially its offline efforts to connect with the film and music community.
