Hugged a tree lately?
posted by Erin on March 17, 2008
It's St. Patrick's Day, so we've got green on our minds. Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not a tree hugger by any stretch of the imagination. But I don't fault tree huggers for what they do. However, just because I don't actively protest doesn't mean I don't care. I do. And every time I get a new catalog at home that's usually stuffed into my mailbox, making it difficult to get my *real* mail out, I get more and more annoyed. I read recently that the production of paper catalogs requires the use of 8 million tons of trees! Unbelievable. And half the time they're likely unwanted catalogs. Well, the good news is... there's a way to put an end to the madness. Catalogchoice.org helps you eliminate the clutter in your mailbox and decline paper catalogs you no longer wish to receive. It only takes a few steps and, best of all, it's free!
