Cutline Speaks

If only I were as interesting as my email

posted by The Cutline Team on September 16, 2008

After reading Mel's Flavorpill post I signed up and love the weekly updates on life in the city. I'm amazed how much is happening in SF from week to week. I thought I'd throw out a couple of my favorite email newsletters that keep me up to date on what to do, buy, and try.

REI sends a local events email to let me know about all the classes to keep my bike tuned up, my kayaking skills fresh and up to speed on the new gear I need for my next triathalon (which will also be my first triathalon).

Thrillist is often called DailyCandy for guys. It's a daily email that ranges from random new dive bars to interesting places to shop. The descriptions are often hilarious and always irreverent.

The New York Times email keeps me updated on the day's news stories and the Thursday Circuits email let's me know what Pogue's into this week.

And finally the people need a voice too, so I subscribe to The Weekly Yelp and find out what all my fellow San Franciscans are up to this weekend.

With all this information coming through my inbox you'd think I'd be out enjoying everything this city has to offer. Sadly I'm not as often as I'd like to be. If only I were as interesting as my inbox!
