Cutline Speaks
Oh, Behold, My Little Samsung Behold
posted by Erin on February 24, 2009
As a self-professed cell phone junkie, I tend to have the latest and greatest mobile attached to my person at any given point in time. I change cell phones, on average, every three months. My niece is likely the only person who is 100 percent supportive of this habit as she inherits the cast-offs. Rarely do I find a phone that I love as much as my latest and greatest obsession... the Samsung Behold.
Since the iPhone launched, almost all cell phone manufacturers have come out with touch-screen devices. I rejected the iPhone from the start but that's primarily because I'm a huge T-Mobile fan and don't want to change carriers. I've also shied away from other touch-screen devices because I've always preferred a physical keyboard. But low and behold (pun intended), when I checked it out while waiting to talk to a sales associate about adding yet another line to my plan and replacing my BlackBerry Pearl Flip, the Behold had me captivated.
Everything about it is cool: it's pink (but a nice pink, not a bubble-gum-cotton-candy pink); it has a 5 megapixel camera; the photo editing software on-board is amazing; the speakerphone is excellent (at least in my experience; other reviews have questioned the quality of calls while on speakerphone); the interface is super easy to navigate; and the virtual keyboard rocks. There are tons of other bells and whistles but I'm still in discovery mode so you'll have to stay tuned for all the details in the next Tech Toybox.
Until next time, gadget lovers, happy talking!
