Cutline Speaks

The Human Footprint

posted by Erin on March 19, 2008

Ever spend hours weeding through all the junk in your inbox only to find a really amazing gem? Well, that happened to me today. A friend who works for National Geographic sent around a link to a new show that will air soon on the National Geographic Channel called The Human Footprint.

Check out this link and then click on the Human Footprint text in the middle of the screen to see lifetime averages for the number of... eggs you'll eat, miles you'll drive, showers you'll take, and more. You'll also see all the resources used to get those items to you as well as global averages. And, for true fanatics, you can also browse behind-the-scenes footage that gives an inside look into how they found all of the information. Pretty amazing stuff.

Hosted by Elizabeth Vargas, The Human Footprint airs on April 13 so set your DVRs now!
