The weekend is here, which means… it’s time to get your ice cream on!

If you're like me, and probably like a large majority of the population, you most definitely look forward to Friday as that means the weekend is near! Waking up today was a bit more challenging than some Fridays, and it didn't help that the alarm sounded at precisely 5:15 a.m. As I pulled myself together for my personal training session, I started to think about the weekend and how I could reward myself for making it through the week. Nothing immediately came to mind, other than the obvious... retail therapy. But then when I got to the office and started making my way through my inbox, the answer appeared plain as day: ice cream!

I recently stumbled upon a blog -- part of the Men's Health Network -- called Eat This Not That. It's a fascinating look into the myths surrounding food and it also gives incredible pointers for people who eat on the run and/or who are concerned about what they're eating. It offers suggestions for eating better and how to improve ordering out in restaurants as well as how to shop better at the market. I could go on and on about the many things I've already learned but in the spirit of the weekend, and of getting your ice cream on, I'll leave you with this gem: 11 Ice Creams for Less Than 200 Calories.

Now I'm off to kick this Friday into high gear while counting down the hours until I can swing by Cold Stone and grab a Sinless Sans-Fat Sweet Cream (Like-It size, of course!).
