Cutline Speaks
Twitter Me This…
posted by Erin on June 6, 2008
I just want to take a minute to give a shout out to the cool peeps over at Twitter. They're getting a lot of grief lately in the -- dare I go there... 2.0 world -- about downtime and infrastructure issues. While I have no intentions of getting involved in the various FriendFeed debates I've been following on this subject, I do want to say one thing... despite the issues, I still love Twitter. I've written about it on my personal blog, use it fairly religiously (often too religiously, I will admit) and just convinced the Cutline Crew to hop on the Twitter train, too. I think the guys and gals at Twitter HQ are doing cool things and, as with any *new* technology (or, perhaps with any technology that's being used in a way other than it was originally intended to be used), we all need to be a little patient. Sure, some people have been saved through Twitter, but it's highly unlikely that anyone is going to die because of Twitter (bruised egos are a possibility, sure, but death by Twitter is probably a stretch). Being an early adopter isn't easy, but someone's gotta do it. And I'm happy to be that person. So I say hats off to Twitter. And keep the tweets alive, Cutliners!
