Why Cutline?

We believe PR strategy should be direct and targeted. Ideas should be creative but practical. And results should be the focus. We don't believe in cookie-cutter PR programs. We know that every company has different challenges and needs, and we work hard to understand a client's business inside and out, so that we clearly understand the forces driving the need for PR. And then we develop a campaign that makes sense...one client at a time.

For some clients we lead the charge on major announcements and initiatives; for others we're their arms and legs and their feet on the street. We're an extension of our client's PR team, and in some cases we are the client's PR team. We consult. We support. And we like to get our hands dirty.

While the tactics might differ for each client, the set of core principles that we follow do not. We believe in:

  • Open, honest, and regular communication. We’re direct in our recommendations, feedback, and everyday communications.
  • Initiative. We believe it’s our responsibility to make things happen.
  • Continual evaluation. We set concrete goals with our clients and review them monthly and weekly.
  • Transparency in billing. We don't like surprises, and we know our clients don't either.

Ultimately, however, we know there's no replacement for doing great work. We have worked hard to build a team of very smart and quick-thinking people from varying backgrounds. We push ourselves and our clients, and we encourage healthy debate. And we balance this all with foosball, happy hours, Rock Band, and a touch of humility.
